Honda Gallery - Reading, MA
One of the two original buildings was gutted and remodeled to serve as the Honda Gallery Sales Showroom and administrative building. The other building on the site was totally demolished and replaced with a two-story, state-of-the art Service Center. Collaborating closely with BKA Architects and The Gallery Group, Senate Construction was able to work on both buildings simultaneously throughout the winter to complete the project and meet a Spring 2009 Grand Opening as planned. Senate’s coordination of the design team, owners, and town officials were instrumental in making this two-building auto dealership a success.
Gallery Group, one of the area’s leading automotive dealers, required an accelerated schedule to complete a two-building project. The new home of Honda Gallery (formerly Honda Barn) required massive demolition and renovation. Other challenges included unsuitable soil conditions at the site of the new service building, requiring the installation of approximately four hundred Ram Aggregate Piers to bring the soil up to structural requirements before the building foundations were installed.
